Scrunch (v.): To compress, distill, and reshape brand content so it’s instantly understandable and accessible to AI.

From day one, our mission for Scrunch AI has been ambitious: to build the first AI customer experience platform.

We saw what was coming — a shift in how people discover, evaluate, and engage with brands. A shift where large language models, rather than search engines and browsers, would become the primary interface for information. And we knew that most websites, built for human visitors, simply wouldn’t translate.

Here’s the truth: your website doesn’t need to go away, but 90% of its human traffic will. Discovery is shifting to AI agents. They don’t scroll, browse, or click through navigation. They compress, summarize, and respond. If your content isn’t structured for how they work, it won’t show up.

Our first step was to help brands see what AI saw, providing marketers with clarity on how their content was being interpreted and surfaced by generative platforms. This visibility has proven incredibly valuable. However, it was never the endgame.

Over the past year, Scrunch has analyzed tens of millions of prompts across leading AI platforms. We've studied how LLMs read and rank content, how they select what to return in answers, and how small changes, in structure, context, or metadata, can have a significant impact on visibility. That work has provided us with a unique technical blueprint for what’s to come next.

Today, we're excited to share the next chapter of that journey.

We’ve raised a $15 million Series A to build the infrastructure for AI-native marketing

This round was led by Decibel, with participation from Mayfield, Homebrew, and several other incredible investors who share our belief that the way brands show up in AI-driven environments will define the next decade of marketing.

This raise accelerates the work we’ve already been doing with over 500 forward-thinking brands.

What we’ve seen so far

Scrunch has grown quickly, but intentionally. In just the past three months:

  • Our paying customer base has grown by over 50% month-over-month.
  • Over 500 brands use Scrunch to understand their visibility in AI-generated answers.
  • Customers are seeing, on average, a 40% increase in referral traffic and up to 4x improvement in visibility across AI-powered channels.

What we’re building now: AXP

While monitoring provides marketers with critical visibility into how they appear in AI search, what they really need is the ability to influence that experience.

That’s where we’re headed with the Scrunch Agent Experience Platform (AXP).

AXP is a new infrastructure layer that helps brands deliver compressed, structured content specifically for AI agents and crawlers. While your human-facing website remains unchanged, AXP creates a machine-readable version of your brand, optimized for how large language models parse, interpret, and return content.

AXP provides marketers with a way to serve content that AI can actually understand, without altering the design of their site. And while you don’t need to be technical to use Scrunch, we’ve built AXP to meet the standards of your engineering team, too. It’s currently being tested with select customers and will roll out more broadly in the coming months.

What this means for marketers

The way people discover products, services, and brands is fundamentally changing. Traditional browsing is declining, and AI agents are increasingly doing the work on behalf of humans, searching, sorting, and deciding what gets seen. In this new landscape, AI search is the discovery layer, and most brands aren’t even showing up.

The problem? AI doesn’t care how beautiful your website is. Large language models prioritize clarity, structure, and language, not design. Your primary buyer is no longer a person at a screen, but an AI agent scanning the web for answers.

And now, with AXP, we’re giving you the ability to serve that content in a way AI can actually understand.
